About

It's not all about me...

However, it's important for a bride to have a wedding florist who is creative, experienced & easy to work with & who will enjoy working with you to create the most beautiful flowers for your special day in your own unique design! So this is a little peak into my world, here goes.....

flower (14)I have always loved flowers... as young girl I would walk thro' our local woodland (which at that time was in South Yorkshire) and would pick and press wild flowers... my favourite flowers were Forget-me-Nots, so when I said to my parents that I had an idea, to open a flower shop it came as no surprise!

In a short period of time I won recognition from my peers and industry by being awarded the prestigious Flower Shop of the Year Gold Award and Flower Shop of the Year Silver Award, the prestigious Master Florist accolade, Good Florist Guide, Flower Council of Holland Florist of the Future.

I adore working with flowers, I love the new seasons, the first tulips and hyacinths in spring, fragranced new varieties of roses in summer, hydrangeas, peonies and every other flora lush and fresh, and in the autumn pumpkins, Chinese lanterns and lots of goody berries. Winter spells the time for luxurious velvety amaryllis mixed with berries and ivy vines!

Just a few completely trivial notes about me....

Men... My lovely husband and right hand man...the fabulous old dogs body who helps with every wedding and NEVER gets paid!!!

Favourite Child?... Of course Both of Them, Paige the lovely Cherry Lambrini drinking party girl and Kyle the Smoothest Hair and Vainest man on Earth!

Music... Take That (of course, a Take That calendar always dons the wall of my workshop!)

Booze ...Champers or Pinot Grigio

Fashion... Can only shop for clothes with my very own Gok Wan (my daughter Paige)! She kindda keeps me on the straight and narrow!!!

Coffee and cake...my favourite part of not being committed to the shop 24/7! This means I now get to enjoy the indulgence of pastries from time to time with family and friends ( a skinny latte surely makes up for the extra calories in the cake???)
